# Devices

Currently, *Infinity Command* runs on **Windows and Mac computers**.

If desired, we can expand this to include Linux computers, iPads, and Android tablets down the road.

## Server

All the devices running *Infinity Command* [connect to each other via a network](/infinity-command/getting-started/networking.md) hosted by the Network Server. Any run-of-the-mill computer will work well as the Server.

The Server can be a standalone device, but for convenience we recommend that the computer acting as the **Server** also act as the **Main Viewscreen**.

You might attach a controller for steering the ship. See the [Steering](/infinity-command/getting-started/steering.md) section for more details.

## Main Viewscreen

The **Main Viewscreen** provides the crew's window to the world outside the ship. We recommend using a large TV or projector for this. For best results, the computer powering this display should be a gaming computer with a good graphics card and at least 32GB of RAM.

## Crew Stations

Any run-of-the-mill computer will work well for the **Crew Stations**.

For the most immersive, high-tech experience, we recommend using touch-screens instead of keyboards and mice.

You might attach a controller for steering the ship. See the [Steering](/infinity-command/getting-started/steering.md) section for more details.

## Flight Director

Any run-of-the-mill computer will work well for the **Flight Director**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://infinity-command.gitbook.io/infinity-command/getting-started/devices.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
